Lawrence W. Coryell, M.D., received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Michigan State University in 1972 and 1977, respectively. Internship was at Wayne State University. After spending two years in the National Health Service Corps/Public Health Service, in Florida, he returned to his alma mater to complete a radiology residency at the Grand Rapids campus. Following his residency he completed a Vascular/Interventional Radiology Fellowship at the University of Florida, Shand’s Hospital. He practiced General and Interventional Radiology in Ft. Myers, Florida for over fifteen years, from completion of his fellowship until October 2001, when he again returned to his alma mater as an Assistant Professor and Staff Radiologist. Dr. Coryell has his commercial pilot’s license and also enjoys aerobatic flying. Academic interests include all aspects of radiology, especially interventional radiology and MRI.
