WYANDOTTE HOSPITAL - WYANDOTTE, MICHIGAN
Established in 1926, this 302-bed acute care hospital serves the Downriver region and surrounding communities of Southeast Michigan. It offers general medicine; surgical, pediatric and obstetrical services; cardiac diagnostic/treatment and rehabilitation services; ambulatory surgery; ancillary testing; inpatient and outpatient physical medicine and rehabilitation care; mental health services; and a 24-hour emergency department with pediatric specialty care. The main campus features a $ 40 million expansion project opened in early 1998 with new operating room suites, obstetrical suites/birthing center, emergency department, consolidated non-invasive cardiology and cardiac catheterization services, and an outpatient mall.
Wyandotte Hospital is a member of the Henry Ford Health System which was established in 1915 with the founding of Henry Ford Hospital by automobile pioneer Henry Ford. The Health System is one of the nation’s major comprehensive health systems and includes a network of health prevention, diagnosis, treatment, research, education, medical equipment, home health and health care financing services.
