RESEARCH
Research is an integral part of the residency program. Resources are available to facilitate and support resident research projects. Support for research comes from faculty and staff in Grand Rapids and at MSU in East Lansing. During the four years in radiology (PG II - PG V) one major clinical or basic science paper is written which is suitable for local, state, or national presentation. This activity provides the opportunity to acquire skills in the critical analysis of data and the methods of scientific investigation. MERC is closely affiliated with the VanAndel Institute, a multi billion dollar research facility recently developed in Grand Rapids.
