Diagnostic Radiology Fellowship and Residency Programs
Description of Fellowship
The MRI fellowship at Michigan State University is a one year program and is offered to individuals who have successfully completed their radiology residency. A total of four positions are offered each year.
Fellows are supervised by staff radiologists and are responsible for the performance, protocols, and interpretation of examinations under the supervision of staff radiologists.
The fellowship provides thorough training in the interpretation and performance of MRI in the areas of neuroradiology, musculoskeletal, body, vascular, breast and cardiac MRI. A main goal of training is a thorough understanding of the principles of magnetic resonance.
All fellows are encouraged to perform and assist in research. Research papers and presentations at national meetings are strongly encouraged. In addition to research, fellows also participate in the teaching of residents and medical students.
